The Mondulkiri Project is a locally owned and operated community project located close to Sen Monorom. Its aims are to protect forests from logging and new rubber plantations in a partnership with local Bunong villages. It is also Cambodia’s newest elephant sanctuary with future plans to start an elephant-breeding program. It is providing ecologically and economically sustainable jobs for the local hill tribe people around Sen Monorom.
The Mondulkiri Project invites people to visit the forest they have protected – an area with beautiful waterfalls, swimming holes and valleys located near Sen Monorom.
Enjoy one and two day tours featuring encounters with elephants in the jungle and overnight treks. Walk with, feed, swim with and wash elephants at the waterfall. No elephant riding.
